Exclusive financial advisor to the United States Department of Justice on financial matters arising in connection with the Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme. Centerboard assisted in recovering $7.2 billion from the estate of Jeffrey Picower, the largest forfeiture recovery in U.S. history, and $625 million from the Shapiro family.

Financial advisor to TriMont Real Estate Advisors, special servicer of collateralized debt obligation on the $1.3 billion Innkeepers bankruptcy case involving 72 full-service and limited-service hotel assets. Centerboard provided financial and strategic advice to the mezzanine holders in the floating rate pool assets in order to maximize recovery value.

Financial advisor to StorageMart, a $1 billion self-storage business with over 135 properties in North America. Centerboard provides advice regarding valuation, strategic alternatives and capital raising.

Financial advisor to potential purchaser with regard to proposed acquisition of certain chemical production assets from the $1.6 billion Tronox Chapter 11 Bankruptcy case. In addition to providing valuation and structuring advice, Centerboard negotiated with the debtor and environmental trustee as well as relevant federal and state environmental authorities on behalf of its client.
